1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies across our websites:

It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information generally.

Some of our other domains are used only to serve images and files to our own sites and are not public facing. They do not set optional cookies and are not covered here.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a site to remember things between pages and between visits, such as that you are logged in or what you have chosen.

We also use similar technologies that are not strictly cookies, including local storage in your browser and tracking pixels in our marketing emails, which tell us whether a message was opened and which links were clicked. Where we refer to cookies in this policy, we mean these technologies too.

3. Your choices, and how we handle consent

Consent comes first. We use a consent management platform provided by CookieYes on all four of our websites. Non-essential cookies and scripts are blocked from running until you consent to them. A banner that appears while trackers are already loaded achieves nothing, so ours does not work that way.

Rejecting is as easy as accepting. The first screen of our cookie banner offers Reject All alongside Accept All. You do not have to go looking for it.

You can change your mind at any time. Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any of our sites to reopen the consent panel, see the current list of cookies in use on that site, and change or withdraw your choices.

Consent records. We keep a record of the consent choices made, so we can demonstrate that consent was given and honour it on your return. These records are kept for five years.

Google Consent Mode is configured where we use Google Analytics, so Google's own tags respect your choices as well as our blocking.

Each of our websites operates its own consent licence and its own cookie list. Your choice on one site does not carry across to another, so you will be asked separately on each.

4. The categories we use

Strictly necessary. Required for the site to function, including session management, security, spam protection and remembering your cookie choices. These do not require consent, and the site will not work properly without them.

Functional. Remember preferences and settings so the site behaves as you expect.

Analytics and performance. Help us understand how our sites are used so we can improve them.

Marketing. Measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and content, including email open and click tracking.

5. What actually runs on each of our sites

We would rather tell you what is genuinely in use than publish a generic list. As at September 2026:

We do not run advertising or social media tracking on any of our sites. There is no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag and no equivalent from any other advertising network.

Live chat. On sourcingcity.co.uk our chat service is provided by Provide Support. It does not load or track in the background. It opens only when you choose to start a chat, and it requires cookie consent.

Spam protection. promotionaloffice.co.uk uses CleanTalk to protect its forms from automated spam. This is a strictly necessary security function.

For the current, itemised list of cookies on any of our sites, including names, providers, purposes and durations, open Cookie Settings in the footer of that site. That list is maintained automatically and is always more current than any policy document.

6. Other third-party connections

Some content on our sites is served from other providers. These are not tracking tools, but they do involve a connection to another party, so we would rather mention them.

Google Fonts. Our sites use typefaces served from Google's font service.

Script libraries. Some standard web development libraries are served from public code distribution networks.

Product images. Images on sourcingcity.co.uk are served from our own separate image domain.

7. Managing cookies in your browser

Alongside our own controls, all common browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and offer a private or incognito mode that discards them when you close the window.

Blocking cookies generally will affect how our sites work, particularly anything that requires you to log in.

8. Changes to this policy

We review this policy periodically and update it when our sites or the tools we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.

Because the cookies in use on a site can change between reviews, the Cookie Settings panel on each site is the authoritative list.
